What I am attempting to do with this newsletter is to help you as internet marketers to make sure YOU will not be flagged by Internal Revenue Service for an audit.  Self employment seems to be one of the highest targeted returns to be audited by them. It will cover everything you should know in preparing your tax return whether you have been in business before 2002 or just starting out in 2002. I have been to meetings for the purpose of recruiting new members for their business organizations.  They will tell you what are advantages of having a home-based businesses with your home office.  Home Office deductions is just one that can be targeted. I will help you with what deductions is allowed and not allowed.  Then I will guide you through in filling out Schedule C and your Self-Employment Taxes.  I will be doing this in one of two ways for you, the subscriber. I have 17 years of accounting and tax experience to draw on from employment and a home-based service.  I have represented clients in audits with Internal Revenue in the past.  With this experience, I know what is acceptable with IRS. I subscribe to a publication that is used by Internal Revenue Service in their offices.  It is updated monthly with the changes in the US Tax Code that IRS provides them.  The general public is unaware of the changes that takes place in the tax code.  The last major overhaul to the Tax Code was in 1986, I look to see another major overhaul of it in the near future the way it has been amended by Congress in recent years.
